Before and After Every Ride, 25-45 miles
Inspect:
Check Tires are holding pressure, are free from damage, and have good tread.
Insure front wheel quick release is tight, and in closed position (check folding mechanisms on RadMini stem and frame).
Look over connectors to make sure they are fully seated, free from debris or moisture.
Check brake pads for wear, test that brake levers are firm and properly apply brakes.
Test motor cutoff switches. Apply brake levers and check that throttle does not apply power to motor while brakes are applied.
Check headlight and tail light are adjusted, function properly.
Apply disinfectant to bike surface areas.
Inspect helmet for damage, and apply disinfectant.
Service:
Charge and store battery at room temperature in a dry location.
Store bike in a dry location, where it will get the chance to dry off completely before using again.
Replace:
Any components confirmed by Rad Power Bikes Technical Support or a certified, reputable bike mechanic to be damaged beyond repair or broken.
Weekly, 100-200 miles
Inspect:
Check hardware for proper torque: See Hardware Torque Chart.
Check drivetrain for proper alignment and function (chain, freewheel, chainring, derailleur).
Check wheels for trueness, and quiet wheel operation (without spoke noise).
Check brake pads for wear, test that brake levers are firm and properly apply brakes.
Check condition of frame for any damage.
Service:
Clean frame, by wiping down with damp cloth.
Use barrel adjuster(s) to tension derailleur/brake cables if needed.
Replace:
Any components confirmed by Rad Power Bikes Technical Support or a certified, reputable bike mechanic to be damaged beyond repair of broken.
Monthly, 250-750 miles
Inspect:
Check brake pad alignment, brake cable tension.
Check bike is shifting properly, proper derailleur cable tension.
Check chain stretch.
Check brake and shifter cables for corrosion or fraying.
Check spoke tension.
Check accessory mounting (rack mounting bolts, fender hardware and alignment.
Service:
Clean and lubricate drivetrain.
Check crankset and pedal torque.
Clean and optionally lubricate brake and shift cables.
True and tension wheels if any loose spokes are discovered.
Replace:
Replace brake and shift cables if necessary.
Replace brake pads if necessary.
Every 6 Months, 750-1250 miles
Inspect:
Inspect drivetrain (chain, chainring, freewheel, derailleur).
Inspect all cables and housings.
Service:
Standard tune-up by professional bike mechanic recommended.
Grease bottom bracket.
Replace:
Replace brake pads.
Replace tires if necessary.
Replace cables and housing if necessary.
